Opening an urgent care on your own can be a daunting task, fraught with obstacles, challenges, and pitfalls at every turn. The ever changing medical landscape, advances in technology, and ACO’s, just to name a few, can quickly overwhelm even the most prepared entrepreneur. Learn to turn these seeming barriers to your advantage, from a physician/entrepreneur that started a successful urgent care clinic from scratch, running into and overcoming smorgasbord of impediments. No fluff, no silver lining – just to the point, and cut to the chase honest discussion to help you succeed in your own endeavors.

Dr. Yun has been in the urgent care sector for the past fifteen years, both as practicing physician, as well as serving as the medical director and department chair for two large organizations. He has a varied medical background, having started his residency trainings in surgery and anesthesiology, then subsequently rounding out his training with family medicine. Just prior to embarking on his own, Dr. Yun successfully started an urgent care network, expanding it to 14 clinics in five years. At the end of 2014, Dr. Yun opened the first independent, stand-alone urgent care clinic in northeast Wisconsin, and after 18 months of operation, is in the final stages of the second clinic, scheduled to open next month.
