Course Description: This session will be an introduction to occupational medicine concepts for the urgent care clinician along with strategies to effectively integrate these concepts into occupational initial visits.
Speaker: Jennifer Rowlinson, PA-C, is the Lead APC, Student & Resident Coordinator for Rochester Regional Immediate Care and the clinical coordinator for Pulse Occupational Medicine's four centers in Rochester, NY, a division of TeamHealth's Ambulatory Care service line. She first practiced Emergency Medicine for three years before transitioning to Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine in the urgent care setting for the last seven years. Over the last 3 years, she has placed her primary focus on the Pulse Occupational Medicine Clinic, including helping to educate her urgent care colleagues on the intricacies of occupational care. Jennifer represents the Ambulatory Care division nationally on the TeamHealth APC Council and participates in the development of continuing eduction and risk management policies within TeamHealth. She was named TeamHealth's 2017 Ambulatory Care APC of the Year.
