Course Description:
An online poll for emergency physicians asked the question "What do you want urgent care providers to do, not do, and be aware of before sending your patient to the ED?" Hundreds of responses demonstrated common themes. The most common of these will be discussed, along with evidence-based recommendations. There will be common sense solutions and recommendations that all participants will be able to implement into their practice to decreased unnecessary transfers to the ED, and better, cost-effective care for those patients who truly need to be transferred.
