Course Description:
Dr. Schumann discusses in detail how providers can function effectively in the Occupational Medicine environment, particularly managing workers' compensation patient care. Work comp brings its own challenges to the Urgent Care clinic and providers need to understand making appropriate decisions regarding establishing job causation, providing appropriate care that is consistent with treatment guidelines and other mandates, and finally recognizing when and how to conclude care.
Speaker: Steven C. Schumann, MD
Dr. Schumann graduated from Pomona College, Claremont, CA with a Bachelor’s in Zoology and later from the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine.
